From Doug N3PDT, SKCC #6861T

Another fun WES. Was a "T" and an "I" away from getting all nine words in only 33 QSOs, so felt pretty good about that. Only worked one fellow MO Outlaw this time around, Slim WA0BGV (thanks for sending the card Slim). Got 3 MA stations, but no IT. And I'm confident I know the female singer, but will find out when I hit the submit button!

Condx seemed decent enough, and was able to work around the RTTY on 40m after some frustrations. Stayed on 20m and 40m the whole time (I really need to get a wire up for 80m).

Thanks to all and see you next sprint.

From John G0RDO, SKCC #2133T

Forgot all about the WES so only got a short time on air. Thanks to S52CC/Vince, YU7DZ/Zdravko, K2OGT/Bob, KB1NHV/Art, & W9DLN/Dan.

In keeping with the Titanic theme I dusted off an old Marconi straight key, in mahogany and brass, from around the 1920's. 73 all.

From George N2JNZ, SKCC #2836T

Had a fun time but busy with Easter on Sunday. Great to work Phil , KL8DX and Walt , LW3EX. Used 100 watts from my Kenwood TS 450S to a ZeroFive vertical. Key was the Morse Express Christmas key made by GHD. Thanks all !!!!!

From Edward N7EDK, SKCC #7534

Didn't get much time in this weekend, only Sunday, and that was limited. Only managed 7 contacts on 20 meters. Went with 5 watts this time and the K2 again.

Next WES, I should have my KX3, it ships sometime this week ! So I'm kinda excited for the next WES, should be fun as always !

Thanks to my contacts, thou I only managed three words for the extra points, needed some longer calls with S,N,T,O,and a G in them. Oh well, had fun....see everyone next month ! 73

From RON N8KZH, SKCC #6593T

Ran qrp at 5 watts.Used my Junker key.Worked 40m mostly. 15m was not very active, but i did have a few qso's there on Sunday afternoon. Thanks to all who worked me. Had fun as usual. Ron N8KZH

From John VK4TJ, SKCC #4474T

For the second or third WES in a row, 10 mtrs did most of the heavy lifting, with 20 mtrs long path providing the rest. Nice to put a few new calls in my log...

From Hugh AE5VB, SKCC #7283T

Had a good time only missed by a R and S for a sweep. Thanks all see ya next time.

From bob K2OGT, SKCC #5266T

lots of fun

From Phil KB0ETU, SKCC #4542T

Only had the chance to work the first hour. Next month

should be better. 72/73 Phil

From Mike AC0PR, SKCC #7033T

I'm grateful for such activities, they get me on the air and renew my love for CW. Not many qso's, but still fun as always. Thanks all! 73,

From Joe KD2JC, SKCC #710T

Busy weekend. Easter and two contests SKCC WES and QRPARCI Spring QSO Party. I decided to keep power at 5 watts for both events. Had a ball. Wish I had more time. The QRPARCI test started earlier so had more Qs there, but did spend some time with the J-38 and Vibroplex "Champion". Hope all had a nice weekend and thanks.

From Hank KC3QU, SKCC #4567T

good wes, interesting topic, 10/15 flat dead in alabama, had a good run Sat eve. cu next sprint.

From Phil F5JWH, SKCC #8069T

Thanks to all for participation on this Wes. Propagation not very good on the morning but better at the end of the event.

From Jim N3ADF, SKCC #6459T

Really had fun this WES. Worked less than five hours. Worked Walt-LW3EX on 3 bands, that was nice, and got Serge-UK5UIA for a new country, Tnx.

From Jim K5BZH, SKCC #447T

Several didn't hear my 4 watts, but when KE1AF in RI failed to hear me I thought I was gonna bawl, I needed Rhode Island worked and confirmed badly (working on a QRP WAS, have 27 states confirmed).

Tnx to W7GVE for giving me the letters for the first word (WE). AE0P and K6RQT provided letters to form a second word (ARE). Got 20 bonus points with 7 QSOs.

From BRION VE3FUJ, SKCC #4936T

Saturday night was like pulling teeth 3 contacts in the first hr, heard very little after that for about 20 mins. Gave up after that, tried again Sunday for an hr, that day is a very busy Family day at this Qth that's all the time I had available. See you all again next mth. Brion

From John KW4JS, SKCC #4800C

Nice to work cw agn.

tnx KW4JS, John

From Joe W1HFF, SKCC #6309

Conditions were off and on here. Most contacts were on 20 and 15...a couple on 40. Lots of fun. Thanks to all.

From BILL K6KQV, SKCC #2626T

Terrible daytime conditions!

From Len W1LVT, SKCC #3932T

Had less than an hour to participate, but had fun as usual. Wait 'til next month!

From ED W7GVE, SKCC #729T

A fun time even tho Easter thinned some of the crowd. Got my

OCF dipole up in the air, so had access to all bands again

From Art KB1NHV, SKCC #2775C

A great WES. Was happy to log 26 states and 5 countries on 15, 20 and 40 meters. 20 meters was exceptional.

From Andy VE7LAJ, SKCC #6611T

Had fun as always. Tnx to all who worked me.

From Ted K4UFT, SKCC #4289T

Started out 5 Watts but no luck. Went QRO to 10 Watts. 40M very noisy all weekend. 20M was fairly solid. 11 QSOs on 20 and only one on 40. Nothing heard on 10 or 15.

Been making a few CW contacts on 60M since the rules change(Yes, I know ... no contesting there.) If the summer E-skip season ever gets here and 6M starts opening hopefully I can make some SKCC contacts there.

Icom 703 Plus @ 10 Watts to end-fed 20' wire. ChiCom Army key.

From Ray KJ4LEN, SKCC #6956T

I came up 3 "i"s short for the complete phrase. I still got 7 words and 5 MA''s but strangely no Mo outlaws. Very fun event with the extra bonus options. I used my J37 and Vibroplex original with my FT840 @75W. Condx weren''t great but still had a blast. See everyone next time. Ray

From Jim K6JF, SKCC #4261T

Despite bad conditions Saturday managed 20 QSOs split between 20m and 40m. Sunday was abolutely horrible, midwest very weak, and east very, very weak, only 9 more Qs. Conditions reminded me of the solar minimum a couple yesrs ago!

From Art WB8ENE, SKCC #3773T

Wish I had more time to operate this sprint, but with the excellent weather here and being Easter Sunday, I was too busy. Only spent about 90 minutes on Sunday morning. Oh well, maybe next month. 73, Art WB8ENE

From Gene KL7GLL, SKCC #1098T

With grandkids in town I was only able to catch the last 75 minutes of WES but was able to work 15 stations in 15 different states/provinces. I wonder how far I might have gotten before a duplicate if I had more time? Especially nice to have Phil, KL8DX, give me a call.

From Bert W5ZR, SKCC #2931T

Good WES on Easter Weekend. Family in for Easter, so not much air time.

From Alan WA1AR, SKCC #4079T

Only had a quarter hour on this one.

Alan

From Jeff K9JP, SKCC #3008T

Just powered on a 1950's WRL Globe Scout with about 15 watts output on 40 meters. Thanks Dick, K2RFP for hearing my very chirpy signal. 73 and Good Health, Jeff - K9JP SKCC #3008T

too Much Easter...too Little Radio...got two hours in Saturday night on 40 & a half hour in Sunday on 20...had a great run Saturday ..hope everyone had a nice Easter....

From Carl N5XE, SKCC #6307T

20 and 40 meters were my two best bands this WES. 15 was mediocre at best, and I didn't hear anything on 10-M. Late Saturday night (local time) thunderstorms moved in....and stayed, and stayed, and stayed...causing me to unhook and remain off the air. Finally was able to get back on the air after lunch Sunday. Had fun and many thanks for all participants. 73 and hope to see you in the next one.

From Dennis W8BFX, SKCC #7765C

Thanks for another fun WES. Thanks to K6KQV,Bill, and K1PUB,Chas,for my first contacts using 5 watts. Wasn't planned, but QRP seems to work! 73, Dennis

From John W3HI, SKCC #9104

After 25 years off the air, this was my first contest, and my first ever cw contest. My cw skills are really poor right now, but I'm determined to regain them. Lord knows how I ever passed the 20 wpm code test many years ago! Hi

See you for the next sprint, hopefully with less interruptions here. . .

From Curt WA2JSG, SKCC #3018T

Almost forgot, but I was able to get in with a few minutes remaining.

From Alan KA5VZG, SKCC #6264T

Good WES even though bands not the best. I like the puzzle and message tasks, kind of like the mystery sprints. Woke up the "flower child" in a lot of us who anticipate the extra bonus points. Nice touch!

From Pete W1PNS, SKCC #4853T

Thanks for participating, folks. Easter weekend can be a tough one, but hopefully family came first for those who have relatives under the same roof or close by. I had a great time on the air Saturday night, then spent Sunday with my wife heading from church to a pot luck with friends. Cooked up a mean mess of holiday jambalaya that vanished *this* quickly. Now, on to May! ;-)

With best regards,

Pete

From John N9GGE, SKCC #2886

K-1 @ 900mw into G5RV. Only made 5 contacts but hay, too nice of a day to stay inside. Thank you Mr webmaster. I bet it was a real hassle to set up the database for this sprint.

From Eldon W0SZV, SKCC #4999T

Got in a few hours sat evening . Not a lot of time available on Easter sunday but did fairly well. Didn't catch any of the Missouri Outlaws this time. Kinda rare for that to happen.

From Greg WA1VIL, SKCC #443T

More fun than an Easter egg hunt! Like a lot of you, most of my op time was Saturday night. Big thrill for me was working KL7DX QRP (thanks for the good ears Phil!). Appreciate those of you who put up with my attempts to use my bug-a little better this time but still not fully competent.See you all next time-72 es 73!

From Jim N5JPX, SKCC #8672

Easter competed with my first weekend sprintathon but it was a lot of fun, even if I only made 3 contacts. In the immortal words of Arnold ... "I'll be back"!

From JOHN K4BAI, SKCC #3280

Hope to work you all in Georgia QSO Party this weekend, April 14 - 15. See http://georgiaqsoparty.org/ for all rules and information. 73, John, K4BAI.

From Rick K7CHS, SKCC #8573

This was my first WES and first event ever, it was a lot of fun and a good experience for me. Thanks Ed (w7gve) for your encouragement to get involved and your friendly support. I only got to put in about 8 hours at the radio (Easter). Ya'all better look out next time though!

From mark KI0I, SKCC #6585T

Sri fellow outlaws,no time to sprint this month.Grabbed 1 qso with WA0BGV for a score to send in. Hope everyone enjoyed the bonus games,it looks like fun. Hope to have some time for the next SKS. 73 Mark KI0I

From George K4GM, SKCC #7241T

Great fun. Wish I had more time but it was Easter weekend. Thanks to all for QSOs which enabled me to finally get the Tx7.

From Jack AC6FU, SKCC #6477T

Here's a pix of the op position at AC6FU.

Antenna pix are even less exciting!

Thanks for another fun WES event. 73 for now, Jack

From Gerald WA5AFD, SKCC #8150T

Great fun! Glad to have VK4TJ in the log. Thanks John a great signal into Oklahoma on 15 and a new Skcc country for me. Thanks to all. Great to visit with Carl, N5XE as always. CUL, Gerald

From Lee K1LEE, SKCC #7246

Easter Sunday, Masters play-off, and WES - busy weekend! Great time and lots of fine ops, as usual. 40m and 20m were where the action was - 15m dead and 80m S9 QRN here. My three antennas - tri-band yagi, G5RV, and R7 vert - continue to confound me as to which will work the best at any one time; glad to have them all on the antenna switch! My TS570D and the old J38 earning their keep. See you all next time! 73, Lee

From Chas K1PUB, SKCC #4101T

Lots of family commitments, could only operate late Saturday evening and Sunday late afternoon until end of event. Bands seemed pretty crummy on the whole, but being a "sought after" bonus station (MA) made it a lot of fun. Thank you all and see you again in future WES or SKS events!

From Steve KG9HM, SKCC #8759

My first SKCC Sprint. Very fun. I will be back. A big thanks to those who recognized a rookie and slowed down for me!

From Mike N5YG, SKCC #6304T

I believe the Easter Bunny hid the SSSSSS's and IIIIII's but still lots of fun. Propagation on Sat was a fright but improved on Sunday, still no 10 or 15 mtrs at this QTH. Thanks to all that made this WES possible. Until we meet again.

From Dennis N0UYN, SKCC #5753T

Conditions here seemed to seesaw between 20 and 40. I worked a station in the QRP ARCI QP. Unusual that I didn't hear Ed W7GVE this time, but glad to see he was operating. 73.

From Joe KF0XV, SKCC #3520

Not very much time to play radio these days but I did get in a few contacts. Thanks to all who answered my 5 watt signal.

From RICH W4RQ, SKCC #8699C

Although I could not do the whole sprint, I had a blast!

The more that participate, the more the fun!

From Brian VE5CUL, SKCC #1672T

I was glad that 40 was open Saturday evening. It was great

to meet some new friends. Until next time. 73 - Brian

From Noel K8NB, SKCC #3112T

Busy weekend again. Did manage to sneak in a few QSOs on Sunday morning. Had fun as always.

From Rick K0KEX, SKCC #5220T

Divided the time between family, friends, and Easter. Hung out on 40 & 20 due to conditions.

NOTE: Thanks to the sharp eyes of N0UYN I have resubmitted my corrected entry, MA/Italy was 1 instead of 10. TU Dennis

Also, Hello to K7CHS Rick, good to meet you during the WES.

Always an enjoyable time to hear new stations along with the Missouri Outlaws WA0BGV..belated Easter greetings Slim

To many things going on, band was ok

From Dave W3NP, SKCC #3182T

What with it being the Easter weekend I almost totally forgot about the WES - the 2nd Sunday being so early didn't help either. I managed to fire up my wireless apparatus for about 45 minutes on Sunday afternoon. Made a few on 20 and a few on 40. I thought band condx were relatively good, but not much activity. Worked several other ops that were using qrp sending sets and had nice signals. Equipment used: Ten Tec Eagle @ 5 watts and Vibroplex Lightning bug circa 1953. Hoping to get more operating time in May.

From JOHN KA1XC, SKCC #5188T

Busy weekend as usual, and had to chase the Easter Bunny around on Sunday. Best DX was S57WJ in Slovenia, cool! 73!

From Kieth WI0S, SKCC #2048T

An hour and a half of WES rolled in with a grandson's 4th birthday party and HIS Resurrection! What a fun weekend!

From JOE KK5NA, SKCC #1923T

Was working QRP-ARCI and missed most of WES...oops :)

Rig: K3 @ 5 watts

Ant: EDZ @ 55'

Another time, I was pleased to do a few 36 contacts during this Easter WES.

Bonuses QSO were one with Italy and five with MA state, in addition to six complete words of the "final sentence".

Very glad to be called by DX stations WL7WH from Alaska and VK4TJ from Australia. Also to do a contact with AE0P in SD, being my 49th SKCC USA state. Now only missing Kansas to get the paper !

See you soon es 73 to all.

Great WES. A little slow probably due to Easter. See you next month.

From DON KF7QZB, SKCC #8281

This was my first WES that I had time to participate in, and had a lot of fun and recognized a lot of calls from previous QSOs and from the SKED page. Band conditions were weak at best - it seemed as if there was an hf iron wall separating the west coast from the east. Got a few NY and WI, but they were 539 at best.

See you next month.

As most of us I spent most of the day enjoying Easter with family. Late in the sunday evening I found me an hour and a half to make some contacts. Not really kept track about the specials rules of this event. But then filing the bunch at the end I found I did have some extra points.

From Bill N0UMP, SKCC #659T

Easter weekend. Bad time for a sprint. I also would have missed it totally if were not for Slim, WA0BGV. Well I got to make a few anyhow...73 and cul...Bill

From Carl AA5VE, SKCC #8863

I had a great time! Tnx to all that participated. 73's Carl AA5VE

From Peter AK3X, SKCC #7217T

Limited time as usual, even more limited due to Easter holiday.

40M was good, and the highlight for me was finally working Ron (AC2C), something I have been trying to do since getting my C, and subsequent T. Ron is 13 miles away and exactly off the end of my antenna in the theoretical null. Had a few Qs on 20M, but the bulk of this "effort" was on 40. Had fun and CU all next time. 73 - Peter

I had a rough WES! But I do know that 'In We Built This City' by Jefferson Starship, Grace Slick sang this lyric: "...Marconi played the Mamba..."

From Joe K4NVJ, SKCC #393T

With 5 watts and wire antenna you scratch for every qso.

From Russ WA0YEI, SKCC #6300T

Great time as usual. Thanks everyone for the Q's. See ya'll next time.

Hello friends.

Another little WES for me this weekend.

Not easy with 5 watts but it's a challenge interesting.

Only 3 QSO on 15 m and 20 m, thank you to WA5KMA Jim, AE5VB hugh and K2OGT Bob.

Best 73.

Patrick.

I had very little time to operate WES. Had fun none the less. Hope you all enjoyed yourselves and made lots of Q's. CU next month 73 Jerry

I'm limited to 10 meters. It just wasn't cooperating! :-) Ce la vie!

From Ramon EA1CCW, SKCC #7107C

I had FUN this WES,made a bunch of QSOs

From Jerry K9PMV, SKCC #1438T

A fun WES as usual. Rig here was my old TS 520 @ 100 watts out. Antenna was a 130 ft long inverted vee feed with ladder line with MFJ tunner. Key was a WUT straight key. Ran (somewhere around) 7.053 Mhz for about an hour. Great fun. See you @ DAYTON!

From Ron W6FPS, SKCC #2126

Between Easter, having to leave on a business trip Sunday afternoon and the band conditions I only worked six. Like fishing "There is alway tomorrow". And this way I leave a little room for improvement.

Another fun WES! ....that is, until my signal reports started coming back 595...seems I have a power supply issue on my 48 yr old Heathkit (SB-400) transmitter :( Been thinking about getting a newer HF rig, so I'm looking for recommendations.

...Bob

From Randy KB4QQJ, SKCC #3508T
